TheEduOcean Service is the Service of TheEduOcean Infotech Services Pte Ltd which includes website of TheEduOcean. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and is subject to the TheEduPlus Service Terms of Service.

This privacy statement explains the data we collect from you, how we use and share it, and how we safeguard it. You expressly agree to the information management procedures outlined in this policy by using the TheEduOcean Service.

The Information TheEduOcean Service Collects

User-Provided Information

You may provide to TheEduOcean Service what is generally called “personally identifiable” information (such as your name, email address, postal mailing address, home/mobile telephone number, payment account information, demographic information) when using the TheEduOcean Service, such as when you register for the site, and when you create Content or other User Submissions, or when you interact with other users of the TheEduOcean Service, such as through communication features including posting feedback, using chat, and participating in Office Hours.

“Cookies” Information

When you use the TheEduOcean Service, we may send one or more cookies – small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters – to your computer. TheEduOcean Service may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. We may also obtain information, including personally identifiable information, from third parties and sources other than the TheEduOcean Service, such as advertisers or a Subscribing Organization or other User that authorizes you to access its content. If we combine or associate information from other sources with personally identifiable information that we collect through the TheEduOcean Service, we will treat the combined information as personally identifiable information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The Way TheEduOcean Service Uses Information

The information you give us or that we collect is used by TheEduOcean Service to better understand and evaluate the usage patterns and preferences of our users, to enhance the TheEduOcean Service’s functionality and appearance, and to develop new services.

The TheEduOcean Service enables users to communicate in a variety of ways. TheEduOcean Service will provide Subscribers with information regarding users’ interest in, access, download, and viewing of that Subscriber’s profile page, office hours or training /course content.

TheEduOcean Service may disclose automatically collected and other aggregate non-personally-identifiable information with interested third parties, including Instructors, to assist such parties in understanding the usage, viewing, and demographic patterns for certain programs, content, services, advertisements, promotions, and/or functionality on the TheEduOcean Service.

TheEduOcean Service works with third party service providers to provide website development, hosting, maintenance, and support as well as other business services for us. To the extent it is necessary for these service providers to complete their work, these third parties may have access to or process your personally identifiable information. Generally, these disclosures are made under terms comparable to this policy, and the recipients are limited to using the information the purpose for which it was provided.

TheEduOcean Service uses third party payment processing services, and your personal information will be disclosed to such providers in connection with processing your payment of Subscription Fees and any other transactions you initiate on the TheEduOcean Service.

TheEduOcean Service works to promote a safe and reliable service for all users, and actively supports law enforcement. We reserve the right to disclose your information that we believe, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to take precautions against liability; to protect TheEduOcean Service and others from fraudulent, abusive, predatory, or unlawful uses or activity; to investigate and defend ourselves against any third party claims or allegations; to assist government enforcement agencies; to protect the security or integrity of the TheEduOcean Service; or to protect or vindicate the rights, property, or personal safety of TheEduOcean Service, our users, or others

Third Party Services

The TheEduOcean Service contains links to Web sites and services provided by third parties. Any personally identifiable information you provide on third party sites or services is provided directly to that third party and is subject to that third party’s policies, if any, governing privacy and security. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of third party sites or services to which links are displayed on the TheEduOcean Service. We encourage you to learn about third parties’ privacy and security policies before providing them with personally identifiable information.

Our Commitment to Data Security

The TheEduOcean Service uses specific physical, administrative and technical safeguards  to ensure the integrity and security of your personal information. However, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to her TheEduOcean Service and you do so at your own risk. TheEduOcean Service will endeavor to protect its systems upon receipt of your submission of information,  but warrants that such information cannot be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed through system malfunction or circumvention of security procedures.
